As a licensed pediatric occupational therapist has led individual and group sessions in a variety of settings including clinics, preschools, schools (K – 12th grade), homes and in the community. In 2000, she earned her Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California. She further pursued advanced training in sensory integration, which she uses to guide her therapeutic approach and treatment planning.
As office administrator, Laura Ruzzano enjoys making playSense sparkle. She provides a personal touch and welcoming presence for our families. She loves children and has a contagiously playful and joyful energy that draws them to her. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam and is pursuing her second Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of California. Her analytical side keeps her grounded in current research as she takes part in assisting with statistical analyses in test development in sensory integration. Laura is a home grown South Bay girl and balances her time in school and work with her family and long-time and new friends.
Maytal Shvartz, OTD, OTR/L has a captivating spirit that provides children with a creative, motivating and effective therapeutic experience. She earned a Clinical Doctorate and Master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California and has professional training and experience in Sensory Integration, Pediatric Mental Health and DIR Floortime techniques. In addition, she has worked as a school-based occupational therapist. Maytal is passionate about utilising her own favorite occupation - play - in order to make a positive and lifelong impact on the lives of the children and families that she works with.
Maggie Haley MA, OTR/L has a calm and creative approach in her therapy sessions that gently and playfully encourages a child to grow. She is a licensed occupational therapist with more than 13 years of diverse clinical experiences. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Southern California and has advanced training in feeding and swallowing, assistive technology and sensory integration. Throughout her career she has served as a school-based occupational therapist, as an early interventionist and in a hospital based feeding clinic. Maggie values the sense of success, confidence and achievement that learning a new skill or discovering a new interest can provide for a child and the excitement it builds within a family.
Kelly (Bloom) Auld Wright, MA, OTR/L brings her imaginative and playful personality to each of her therapy sessions. She balances her playful style with thorough and thoughtful consideration of each child’s individual needs. Kelly earned her Master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California and is in the Occupational Therapy Clinical Doctorate program through Thomas Jefferson University. She has advanced training in sensory integration and continues to build her knowledge in this area through her studies and ongoing mentorship. Kelly values the use of evidence in her treatments and ensures that she is providing the highest quality and research based support to her clients.
Gina Geppert Coleman, MA, OTR/L has a magical way of making hard work fun. Her therapy sessions leave her clients feeling successful and confident. With over 30 years of experience, Gina's compassionate, playful and approachable style has benefited numerous children by helping them explore and utilise their strengths, interests and needs to successfully to engage in their childhood occupations. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Southern California and has worked in a variety of settings including clinic-based and hospital based. Gina brings a sophisticated understanding of the sensory integration framework and uses this to guide her clinical evaluations and treatment planning. She has also co-authored booklets on sensory integration for parents and teachers as well as worked on several published research projects. For more than 20 years, Gina has enjoyed mentoring therapists world-wide in the assessment and treatment of children with sensory integration issues. Her professional and personal experiences make her a valuable asset and resource to playSense's families.
