Meet Our Team
As a licensed pediatric occupational therapist has led individual and group sessions in a variety of settings including clinics, preschools, schools (K – 12th grade), homes and in the community. In 2000, she earned her Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California. She further pursued advanced training in sensory integration, which she uses to guide her therapeutic approach and treatment planning.
Maytal Shvartz, OTD, OTR/L has a captivating spirit that provides children with a creative, motivating and effective therapeutic experience. She earned a Clinical Doctorate and Master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California and has professional training and experience in Sensory Integration, Pediatric Mental Health and DIR Floortime techniques. In addition, she has worked as a school-based occupational therapist. Maytal is passionate about utilising her own favorite occupation - play - in order to make a positive and lifelong impact on the lives of the children and families that she works with.
Ronnie's gentle, imaginative and playful personality brings nothing but fun to her therapy sessions. She has a magical way of finding fun and helping kids feel like they can do nothing wrong. She has a Masters degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California (Fight on!). We first met (and fell in love with) Ronnie when she did her four month internship at playSense. Since then, she has remained passionate about learning therapeutic approaches focused on children and families. Ronnie is a South Bay girl and can be found with her family and friends when not playing at playSense.
Gina Geppert Coleman, MA, OTR/L has a magical way of making hard work fun. Her therapy sessions leave her clients feeling successful and confident. With over 30 years of experience, Gina's compassionate, playful and approachable style has benefited numerous children by helping them explore and utilise their strengths, interests and needs to successfully to engage in their childhood occupations. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Southern California and has worked in a variety of settings including clinic-based and hospital based. Gina brings a sophisticated understanding of the sensory integration framework and uses this to guide her clinical evaluations and treatment planning. She has also co-authored booklets on sensory integration for parents and teachers as well as worked on several published research projects. For more than 20 years, Gina has enjoyed mentoring therapists world-wide in the assessment and treatment of children with sensory integration issues. Her professional and personal experiences make her a valuable asset and resource to playSense's families.
As playSense’s Clinic Assistant, Hayley keeps fun and creativity flowing. She is a true artist and brings her gift to all she does for our kids. You likely will see her art around the play studio and in the games she has created for our kids. Hayley has a playful and gentle heart that shines through when she is with our kiddos and families. Hayley keeps the clinic shining and welcoming through her art, activity planning and organization of our toys. You may hear from Hayley as she is updating files or when you need a contact for account or scheduling needs. Hayley is a college student at El Camino and enjoys time with her friends and family. She loves kids and is always there to lend a helping hand.
